We are both ballroom dancers and I agree with what you say. Dancing is all geometry to me; I just count and follow the patterns I see in my head. I don’t hear the beat, I just count. My wife and our instructors complain that I’m out of synch eith the music and I explain it’ll come around! I find the music distracting and once asked the instructor if she’d turn that bloody music off as I’m trying to dance here! I can do the math.
